Indigo, Crystal & Rainbow Children
I first wrote about the new children arriving on the planet back in 2005, and then again in 2006 and I’ve linked these two newsletters below if you’d like to have a read and also see a little of what Elements of Health was doing back in those days.

The term Indigo (so called because of the Indigo colour in their auras) originated with psychic Nancy Ann Tappe in the 1970s and led, in later decades, to discussions about children with diagnoses such as ADHD and ASD being mislabelled.
You will see different date ranges quoted around the internet and all of these special souls have been coming in for some time, so just take all this with a pinch of salt. You might feel you or your child fit the profile but not the dates and it really doesn’t matter. It’s about the reasons you and these children chose to incarnate.
There were certainly Indigos coming in before the date range above, and I’m aware of individuals born in the 1940s and 50s stepping up. The main flurry of Indigos, however, began coming in from the late 1990s, now the generation we would term “Gen Z”, with a broad date range being 1997-2012.
I saw many Indigoes in clinic from early on in my practice, with a sprinkling of Crystal and Rainbow children. They came as babies with ear infections or vaccination issues, growing into children who often challenged their parents, but I also saw some young people and adults coming through at that time as well with similar traits, those we might call the “way showers.”
All of these children, who are often referred to as “Star Children” or these days “Galactic Children”, had the look of an old soul. You’ll probably know what I mean by this. If they were fortunate – and probably being brought to a homeopath they were – they had parents who understood them and supported them in the way that they needed. Some had parents who really struggled with raising these special kids, as did the teachers early on who didn’t understand their needs, their often feisty personalities and their quirks. These kids used what may have been translated as trauma to learn and to heal, bringing through their gifts in adolescence or young adulthood when they had more freedom and perhaps found their tribes.
About these Children
Let’s just give a little information on what these children might look like. This is gathered from the internet and other resources, from my own experience and from that of some of the light keepers I follow, so again take it with a pinch of salt when you are reading and trying to pick out your child. It’s not set in stone and some kids are going to have different aspects or look like a blend.
Some sources say the Indigo and Crystal children came first and the Rainbow children are coming in now, it’s really rather academic because I’m not sure anyone is counting. It is clear though that these different groups are starting to take their place in society and will increase in number as they age and become independent young people with their own strong voice.
Indigo Children
- Indigo children are said to have exceptional or psychic abilities and their purpose seems to be to challenge the status quo and dismantle old systems that are no longer serving humanity, acting as a “catalyst” for change.
- They are often strong-willed, intuitive, curious, and possess a strong sense of purpose. They can be perceived as rebellious or difficult due to their inherent sensitivity and aversion to falseness, hating injustice more than anything.
- The Indigo children are warriors for truth and justice, breaking down old paradigms to make way for the new.
- They often feel like outsiders, have a strong sense of self, and may struggle to navigate traditional societal structures.
Rainbow Children
- These highly evolved souls, said to incarnate from the 1980s, are new to Earth, with high vibration, bringing joy and harmony.
- Some people consider they are a later wave of Star children, often born to early Crystal parents, lacking karmic “baggage” from past lives.
- They are souls on a mission to serve humanity, acting as scouts for other Star souls and bringing spiritual enlightenment, acting as bridges between different realities.
- They are skilled manifestors, enthusiastic, highly creative, and possess strong healing and telepathic abilities.
Crystal Children
- The Crystal children came to introduce unity, love and peace, paving the way for higher consciousness and human evolution.
- They are peaceful, loving, sensitive, perceptive, and creative, and are often characterized by a remarkable ability to express themselves clearly.
- They possess a strong connection to the arts and spiritual matters and may be or may become healers and unifiers who live by a “Law of One” or unity consciousness.
- Part of their mission as builders of the New Earth is to rediscover and call in the ancient technologies, combining them with our own modern tech through AI, starting to change how humanity may evolve.
- These children may exhibit delayed speech, but can communicate their needs and desires clearly.
In Summary
Indigo children are the disruptors who clear the way.
Rainbow children are on a mission to serve humanity, acting as scouts for other Star souls and bringing spiritual enlightenment.
Crystal children are the nurturers and builders who follow, establishing a new era of peace and unity.
An important ingredient for all these children is to find a balance between nature and tech.
What’s happening now?
After the initial influx of these Star children, we had a lull in the information for a while as they got through the school and medical system. Now here we are, talking not just about the Indigo children, but about the Crystal and Rainbow children, many of whom are themselves giving birth to more high vibration children to help create the New Earth.
I started to feel these beautiful multidimensional mummas with their old soul babies connecting with me again earlier this year. I’d had a break from treating children in 2023 and 2024, due to a bit of overwhelm over what the children were presenting with. Then when I stepped back in this year I realised I was getting a lot of really awakened and connected mummas with questions about their Rainbow or Crystal babies. Calm, heart centred, strong, light warriors, advocates for their children and the planet, these connected and informed individuals are making wise choices for their little ones.
Don’t think I’m saying you have to be calm and centred to be an Indigo or Crystal mumma. Sometimes our own parenting and life situation hasn’t given us the tools we need to be in that space, or maybe you are fighting your corner in a high vibe way right now, but the fact you are here reading this says you are wanting to understand and awaken to the experience of how to raise this new breed of children.
I’ve been saying for years that what’s wrong with the children is not the children, but the whole system – school, medical, parenting advice, nutritional advice, environment, life.
If so many children (and adults too) have a problem which can be labelled under one big diagnosis of being somewhere on the spectrum, clearly we have a generational issue and not a medical issue. It’s about a change in vibration, not a problem with the children.
It’s clear the medical profession and the school system are being overwhelmed by these children and young adults who find they don’t fit, who can’t get help and who often fall between the cracks. They are frequently medicated as a last resort, because what else does our system have to offer them?
As the timelines are splitting more obviously into two separate paths, these young people can be mislabelled and mis-medicated if they haven’t yet found the path and the tribe they belong with.
On the positive side, what we’re now seeing is many of these Star children taking their place in society and in the workplace. Pushing for the breakdown of the rules and ideas that have held us captive for many years, the ideas motivated by financial gain and power and not for the benefit of the planet and the people. These young people (and some older of course) are now in the corridors of power, in the medical profession, in the teaching profession and many other walks of life where they share their light and their love and they bring the changes that over time will create the New Earth for those to follow.
Crystal or Crystalline Children
I was very blessed to connect with a group of high vibrational mothers/light weavers from around the planet recently in a beautiful heart-centred presentation about the Crystalline Children. Below I’ve sprinkled some notes and some of my own insights from the presentation, which really resonated with me as a Star (or Galactic) Grandmother!
These children have been trickling onto the planet for quite a while, with the biggest influx coming in since 2012 (Gen Alpha) along with more Rainbow kids, so if you’re a parent or a practitioner you will be aware of this change in energy as to what these children are presenting with, how they learn, how they interact and how they grow.
They choose who they incarnate through and it’s said that when the mother attunes to her heart and connects with the pure unconditional love within, her light pings on the grid and the children feel safe to connect to these Star mothers.
And right now we are opening the field of unconditional love, of acceptance, through the mother’s heart, and the children are feeling safe to drop in. As a mother or potential mother you do not need to be perfect. Your intention to nurture and incarnate a child is enough. You will find your group, your tribe, your support as more and more mothers realise their mission and incarnate these babies.
These Star babies arrive earth-side through the birth process, often in our hospital system. The whole process, however it happens, is a co-creation. A bridge of consciousness, of expansion. It’s so powerful and more and more souls are coming in for this high energy experience.
As a planet, Gaia is being activated as a safe grid, with a big green flag marking the planet as safe for the higher vibrational, higher consciousness beings to step in. These high vibe beings are needed to get us through the changes that have already begun, taking us into a new multidimensional existence on the other side of the chaos we are currently living through.
You are Star Mothers and Star Grandmothers
This generation of Crystal children are very obviously the builders, not just any builders but the builders of the New Earth. The way they do things, the way they play, build, move is different to some of the other children incarnating. They are not better or more special – all children are special – they are just different, with a different mission.
These children are bringing messages through, carrying wisdom, gifts, past life memories. They carry soul gifts for bringing in the New Earth.
Their energy system often works differently. They are asking to be parented differently, to be supported to learn. They are connected to ancient prophecies, ancient timelines, all to unfold a new reality. They are not concerned with fear, power or the bible.
How can we support these Souls in this lifetime.
Whether we birth them or anchor their frequency or are a channel or a vessel of their messages, we will be given the tools to support them and if you look around you will find groups of families with these children.
Don’t stress about how they are parented or how life treats them! They will have chosen well for the mission they have ahead of them and you will see and feel the light and love that they shine, sometimes even under difficult circumstances. My sense is that they may appear sensitive, but they are resilient beings who have come prepared for life on planet earth.
These kids send a lot of telepathic information if you are open, which makes sense when we consider how many of this generation may have chosen to be non-verbal.
The Telepathy Tapes opened up a lot of people to this as a possibility and a reality, and we are seeing more and more channelled information looking into past and future lives of many individuals who have chosen to incarnate now.
There is no box that they fit in!
They hold an essence of purity and innocence and a willingness to honour our divine blueprint as children of creation.
These children are working in the background. Subtley at first, beginning to emerge, both those in physical bodies and those in spirit form, in etheric bodies.
Be aware also that if you have had miscarriages, terminations or lost a child, these children may have briefly come through you to awaken and enlighten you, and are now holding the energy star-side or in the galactic realms. They are able to experience this field through us, as much as those who are incarnate earth-side.
There is a big team of supporters out there, so never feel alone. Try reaching out to some of these very heart centred groups or to your own guides for support in these times. The numbers are definitely building on the planet and you are not alone.
Our task is as a collective, as we strongly care or deeply love our children – biological or not. Trust yourself, trust your inner authority.
The way we can best prepare to hold this field, to create the fertile soil for these in-comers is to allow our own creativity to flourish, to trust. Embrace self-trust so these children may trust themselves and their inner authority. Trust is also the key factor for them to stay within their bodies so they may unlock the keys within their DNA. Without that trust they may not feel safe to do so.
Let’s reawaken and remember that this is our Garden of Eden, our original state together.
Let’s not be concerned with fear or power or survival.
Many of us are here helping the new mothers heal their ancestral and generational lines, do their inner child work, and create the right conditions for these children to thrive. We all help clear away the old so the new energies can be bought in to allow the New Earth to be built.
Many of these children are communicating telepathically, some have challenges in their younger years, at school and in society. It’s easy for parents who are not awakened or don’t have support to feel overwhelmed – the experience can be so different than many of us have imagined. However, when we can step out of our heads and drop into the heart we get to see new possibilities and understand the beautiful gifts that they are. They don’t always need to be fixed, they often need to be supported in a different way, outside the systems we all grew up in. They make their needs clear and when they are not understood challenges can follow.
Weaving new ways of communicating with our children, we allow ourselves as parents and guides to learn new techniques. Generations of parents are now having to work through old, ancestral and karmic clearing and then the generation we are birthing are able to activate their voices in order to be heard for what they bring.
We need this next generation to step into authenticity, to allow their throats to open through clearing of the ancestral lines. They are so deeply connected to the Lemurian energies. Some say ancient animals from the deep parts of the ocean are coming through, incarnating as these children. They hold the ancient parts of the earth’s oldest wisdom.
Our future depends on remembering what they are bringing through. Remembering is key for us all right now. Connecting with our third eye (intuition, telepathy and wisdom) and listening to and with our hearts as to how our children want to connect with us. We cannot simply hand over to them, we must hold the space and the wisdom for them at this time. This is why we are here right now.
What can I do to support this soul’s needs in this lifetime?

Intention is enough. We have an opportunity to build.
We don’t have to walk this path alone.
We need to look at our family’s nervous system and our own nervous system to see what our needs are so we can thrive in our family. We can build a living breathing guide that grows as family grows.
Work on activation of families’ gifts and direction, connection to other family constellations.
Work through reparenting yourself to parent your kids, finding your own innocence and purity.
“Less words, more knowing” – a profound thought for the times we are in!
