Description
Are you always trying to manage acute illness?
Do you have children in school or childcare who keep getting sick?
Are you concerned about colds, flu, Covid, RSV, etc?
Tried Anas Barb (Oscillococcinum) but need something more robust?
Get Prepped is current for 2026 as of 1 January 2026
Your bottle may still say 2025, but the 2026 version and 2025 are the same, ie we do not need to update the mix.
The ingredients in Get Prepped align with information shared by colleagues about what is currently most indicated in the northern hemisphere and which filters through to the southern hemisphere over autumn/winter as travellers come and go. This information sets us up for our own season and for any adjustments to the inclusion of the remedies each year.
Get Prepped may be updated annually based on research coming from our colleagues overseas.
The included remedies are traditional homeopathics which have been used over the decades in similar situations to support and manage minor illnesses.
They are also remedies that we have used in similar products and similar situations since around 2001.
In this version, in line with a product available in the USA which includes Bach Rescue Remedy, we’ve included SOS (our own version of Rescue Remedy) because anxiety and fear, which have been high over the past couple of years, can tend to weaken immune response.
What is Get Prepped?
Get Prepped (originally known as Winter Prep) was created as an annual support remedy, containing traditional homeopathics which relate to the illnesses seen in the northern hemisphere in the previous winter. We tweak this most years to reflect what is going on out there!
Get Prepped also includes general support remedies which may help with minor symptoms of a cold, flu or similar illness.
Get Prepped is a useful support remedy year-round for children in childcare or newly at school, where we often see family members falling ill as children bring home and share a variety of acute illnesses.
For travel, particularly overseas by plane or ship, see Travel Prep which has recently been updated as a completely separate but very similar remedy. During travel we often see increasing susceptibility to a range of mild and annoying illnesses, which can challenge us due to change of environment and stress, as well as unfamiliar bugs!
In addition to providing support, the remedy can be used to manage symptoms should they arise – see the Notes tab for more information.
Why Get Prepped?
Colds, flu, YKW and other illnesses seem to get worse each winter and with overseas travel this means they are circulating all year round at home, as we have seen.
Over more than a decade we found Anas Barb 200c, a commonly used traditional remedy, to work particularly well and we used it alone each winter as a support. However, around 2011, we began to find it wasn’t enough on its own and began the process of creating something more robust.
In 2013, after two very challenging winters in Australia, we took time to research and consult with homeopaths around Australia and in the northern hemisphere. Based on this information we came up with mix of some of the most indicated remedies which we called “Winter Prep”; a combination of remedies which have traditionally been used at these times and which still includes Anas Barb 200c, a winter stalwart in many countries in Europe.
We continue to go through this process of observing the northern hemisphere on an annual basis so we know whether we need to update the formula or not.
After dispensing variations of this combination widely for many winters, and sending people overseas with the remedy, we now have good feedback on using it both for support and for management of colds, mild flu, etc.
- May be used as a support instead of Anas Barb 200c if prone to colds, flu and respiratory illness.
- You do not need to use Anas Barb as well as this remedy is included in the combination.
- The remedy may be used even if you’ve had a v*x to help provide additional immune support for those “emerging” lurgies!
- May be used alongside other similar over-the-counter products as appropriate as homeopathics do not interact with conventional medications.
Always ensure you follow all government health guidelines and directives.
Ongoing or recurrent illness such as colds, coughs, flu, tonsillitis, etc should be assessed by a registered homeopath as the underlying weakness needs to be addressed. If remedies do not work or do not work well, this is the time to consider individualised treatment of the whole person for better long term health outcomes.

FAQs
Dosage for Remedies
These notes are a general guide.
Homeopathy is not an exact science and while we can offer general suggestions as to how to give the remedies, each case will be a little different in terms of how often a remedy may be required to bring about improvement.
With homeopathics, because we are working with energy, not substance, we want to give just enough to stimulate the body to do the job. If your remedy works brilliantly with the first dose, you don’t need to repeat unless the symptoms appear to be coming back again.
If you’re not familiar with using homeopathics see the FAQ How much & how often?
Do read the individual directions on each product (both on the label and in the How to Use in the product description) to ascertain whether usage differs to the suggestions here.
Reach out if you’re not sure.
Drops
Our products are made up according to traditional homeopathic pharmacy protocols and include a small amount of pure alcohol as a preservative. You can read the FAQ here on alcohol in remedies.
For newborns, if you do not wish to put the drops in the mouth, you may apply to the soles of the foot or the top of the head. You can also purchase drops and add a spray top to your order, so that you can spray the remedy onto the soles of the feet. The remedy will work just as well whichever way you use it.
Babies under 6 months – 1 drop or 1 spray
Babies 6-12 months – 2 drops or 1 spray
12 months and above – 4 drops
Organic German Sucrose
Give 1 or 2 pilules per dose regardless of age.
Crush between 2 clean teaspoons if you are giving to a baby and you are uncomfortable with giving whole.
Sometimes the pilules can look wet. This is due to the nature of the organic sucrose. The alcohol – which is the remedy applied to the pilules – will evaporate off as you use your remedies. They should not stick together and this does not affect the effect of the remedies.
Homeopathy is about quality, not quantity!
Creams
All our creams are suitable for vegans, due to the way we make them and the based we use.

Tissue Salts
If you have selected a single tissue salt remedy or a combination, the general suggestion is to take three times a day for up to three months (as per Dr Schuessler’s advice). However, we would expect you would see improvement much sooner than this, likely as soon as a couple of weeks. If you have taken for one month with no obvious difference, choose another tissue salt or consult your homeopath.
Bottle Sizes
10g pilules: approximately 110 pilules
30ml drops: approximately 120 doses at 4 drops per dose
50ml drops: approximately 200 doses at 4 drops per doses
