Synchronicity is a sign from the Universe

Life works in mysterious ways, as many of us would agree, and there’s no such thing as coincidence – in my mind anyway!

I do think everything happens for a reason, and more than that it’s been proven through the science of quantum physics that what we put out there is what comes back to us. Our mind and our emotions together put out waves of energy, which tap into “the Field”. So if we’re focussed on worrying about failing at something or maybe about not having enough money, the energy we put out reaches into the Field, which sends back more of the same.

The universe even gives you confirmation of what you are putting out there. If you are putting out the right energy and intention this can be gauged by what comes back in small ways, such as synchronicities – or coincidences as some might explain it.

I have these types of confirmation frequently to tell me I’ve going in the right direction – and occasionally the wrong direction – but there is one very synchronistic moment which always comes to mind and which illustrates this so perfectly, so I thought I’d share it with you. It’s a very simple thing, but the way the universe works makes me laugh sometimes.

A few years ago my Mum lost her treasured refillable pencil on one of her stays with us. It was a bit special as my late Father had given it to her many years ago as a gift.

Mum was sure she had left it on the bookshelf and it had fallen off. We pulled everything off but didn’t find it. We looked down the sides of the armchairs by the bookcase, we tipped them up and undid the velcro on the backs, but no pencil. We looked a couple of times more and every time Mum came to stay at Christmas we’d talk about how mysteriously the pencil had disappeared.

Then several years later we put our leather lounge suite – of which the armchairs were a part – up for sale on Gumtree. First we didn’t get any interest, then we had two people come and look who decided they were the wrong size. I kept going over in my mind why they weren’t selling because I would class myself as a super-seller! There was definitely nothing wrong with them, the price was right and even quite low, and I was a bit disheartened.

Then a week or two later my mobile phone fell down the back of the leather sofa – not the armchair! I undid the velcro on the back to get out my phone and lo and behold there was the pencil. Not anywhere near the bookcase or the armchairs!

So what, you say?

As soon as I messaged my Mum to tell her the pencil was found, I noticed I’d had a message from someone saying they would like to come and look at the lounge suite. They came the following day at 3pm and in less than 24 hours the leather lounge suite was gone!

Again, so what, you say?

To me this is a perfect illustration, outside of my clinic, of removing what I call in clinic obstacles to cure and outside clinic, blocks to moving forwards. Sometimes it’s the little things that we need to do or change and we just need to trust the universe that it is all happening for a reason.

I had a hunch the lounge suite wasn’t going to sell until something else had fallen into place. I didn’t imagine it was going to be the pencil!

Oh and I also found the lens out of my spectacles which I’d lost two years before, so it was definitely about “seeing” something for what it was.

It is the tiny things that make the change so don’t be impatient when things aren’t working. We can hold ourselves back by the energy we put out or by missing a step or missing a sign.

These days we are often so overwhelmed by information or other energetic inputs, that it’s easy to miss what the universe is trying to tell us and to just keep pushing through and hoping things will change.

There’s also something in the process about thinking we said or did something in a particular way or in a particular place, when it was different to the memory. Trust the universe, it usually gets it right!

The best and simplest way to tap into the Field or the universal energy for change is to:

(a) surrender to the process;

(b) be in the moment, rather than projecting into the future or trying to step back into the past;

(c) work on aligning your mind (energy) and your emotions/body (matter) so that everything you are putting out there is synchronous; and finally

(d) stay grounded and steady, rather than being in what is often the chaos surrounding things not working as you expect.

A regular meditation or mindfulness practice can be really helpful because practice is what this takes. It doesn’t happen in an instant and it often won’t happen if you try to bulldoze through the obstacles on your path. Obstacles tend to say there is something that needs to be looked at and probably changed, and the difficulties in making change are not so much to stop you having what you’re trying to manifest, but to allow time for you to gain the insights that are going to make it all worthwhile.

If you need some ideas for how to go about setting up a meditation/mindfulness practice you can read the post I wrote last year here. It may not be exactly what you’re looking for, but hopefully will give you some pointers along the road.

In closing, let me remind you to embrace the stillness, watch out for the synchronicities which are your signposts from the universe, and very often when you step back and wait, all will be revealed.

Melanie Creedy calls herself “just a homeopath” because homeopathy is actually her whole world; all day, every day! While she’s dipped her toe into a multitude of modalities, is a Reiki Master, Master Essence Maker, great with a pendulum and has a passion for gardening and machine embroidery, her first love will always be homeopathy.
Its breadth and depth continues to astound her; covering the emotions, the physical body, mental health and of course the spiritual/life path. The energetic resonance of the remedies, whether made physically in a homeopathic lab or energetically on a vibrational potentiser, touch the core and guide us on our journey of awakening to the life we have created and the life we desire.
Melanie has used homeopathy since the mid 1980s and has been in practice since 1998. For many years she ran The Children’s Ear Clinic in Western Australia, but since her tree change to Tasmania, has a special interest in women’s health. Her first love and passion however has always been helping individuals manage their journey on the spiritual path with homeopathy and her range of essences.
Melanie works with people using soul talk and soul listening and intuiting esoteric vibrational remedies to remove obstacles on the path. This can relate to physical, mental and emotional issues which are often part of our ‘soul choices’ for this lifetime. Her approach is simple but deep, grounded, thoughtful and pragmatic. Not too much airy-fairy-speak going on here, just a drawing together of the strings of your life.
Melanie is a Licentiate of the British School of Homeopathy, holds a Bachelor of Health Science (Homeopathy), Diploma of Nutrition, Diploma of Yoga and she has been a Reiki Master since 1998.
